About The Notts50Plus Web Portal
The Notts50Plus Web Portal is one of a range of preventative initiatives funded through the national Invest to Save project. It is co-ordinated by, but independant of, Nottinghamshire County Council on behalf of the Invest to Save partners from both the statutory and voluntary sectors (listed below).
The Invest to Save project is a joint Treasury and Cabinet Office programme, which provides funding for new public sector projects in which two or more bodies work together to achieve improvements in service delivery and cost savings.
The aim of Notts50Plus is to enable increased access to a wide range of information in a "one-stop-shop" format. We provide general information on services, organisations and activities available to residents across Nottinghamshire over the age of 50, including contact details and links to relevant websites. The topics covered range from meals at home services to volunteer work opportunities to local recreational activities to housing information and advice.
The website has been developed in consultation with older people, and comments and feedback are welcome. Feedback can be submitted via the site's Contact Us facility, by emailing rebecca (dot) batterham (at) nottscc (dot) gov (dot) uk, or by telephoning Rebecca Batterham on 0115 9774233.
