The job of Community Outreach Advisors is to contact and advise older people who are isolated or socially excluded. The advisors will encourage those they contact to use the services available to residents aged over 50 across Nottinghamshire, and provide information on all of the relevant services and opportunities. The Community Outreach scheme will concentrate on groups and individuals identified by local people and professionals involved in social care, and could include mental health service users, people in rural locations and the black and minority ethnic community.
