Notts50Plus Projects - Preventative Adaptation Service (PAS) - Bassetlaw
Further information can be found at : the Notts50Plus Projects - Preventative Adaptation Service (PAS) - Bassetlaw website
This self-assessment scheme is aimed directly at the over 60’s within the Bassetlaw community and gives individuals the opportunity to identify their own needs and request some minor adaptations (such as grab rails, stair rails, hand rails and half-steps) for a small contributory fee of £15.
The service aims to help older people feel safe in their own homes for longer by providing access to low cost adaptations without the necessity of a formal physical assessment of need by Social Services, or having to undergo a means test.
The scheme is available to anyone aged 60 or over whether you are a home-owner, tenant or leaseholder.
This new pilot scheme has been set up in partnership between Nottinghamshire County Council, the Primary Care Trust, A1 Housing and Bassetlaw District Council.
